State Police Auction Helps Cause

A recent auction in our area gave hundreds of attendees a chance to buy some useful items while helping a good cause.

The Michigan State Police post in Cadillac auctioned off dozens of items that were forfeited to police through the Narcotics Forfeiture and Seizure law. Items up for auction ranged from cars to guns to TVs and much more; police at the auction said that it provides citizens with a great way to buy things they might need, while helping a good cause.

“It’s a great time, and it’s a good opportunity for people to buy items that they might need at home,” Michigan State Police Cadillac Post Commander David Street told Local Edition, “They get a good buy on them, and it’s also a good cause. The money that’s taken from this auction is used to fund the Michigan State Police narcotics units.”

The local Michigan State Police post holds several auctions like the recent event in Cadillac every year.
